The National Association of Polytechnic Students [NAPS], representing over 28.1 million Nigerian Polytechnic, Monotechnic, and Colleges of Technology students at home and in the diaspora, on Thursday, 3rd September 2025, engaged in a high-level meeting with His Excellency, Prof. Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, Honourable Minister of Education, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
As part of our unwavering commitment to advancing the welfare and educational interests of Nigerian polytechnic students, we paid a strategic advocacy visit to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), Mr. Akintunde Oladimeji Sawyerr, to commend his visionary leadership and the remarkable strides the Fund has made in expanding access to higher education through student financing.
In a landmark policy engagement, the National Association of Polytechnic Students called on the Federal Government and key education agencies to accelerate the deployment of Artificial Intelligence-powered classrooms across Nigerian polytechnics and colleges of technology.

Following the unfortunate abduction of students of Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, I led the leadership of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), alongside relevant stakeholders, on a strategic advocacy visit to the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, H.E. Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, at the Ship House, Abuja, to seek urgent government intervention and discuss practical measures to ensure the safe and unconditional release of the affected students.
